Special Recognition Award

Welcome to Eugenio Hair Salon, a family owned and operated beauty shop located in Wellesley, MA for over 60 years. The story of this business is much larger than just its shop on Linden St.
Opened in April 1965, Eugenio’s began with its grand opening at 1 Everett Street. The salon eventually moved to its current and final location at 139 Linden Street, where it has proudly served the community for the past 13 years.
Eugenio’s was founded by brother and sister Eugenio Perdoni of Wellesley and Bruna Byrne of Natick, who immigrated to the United States from Italy and built a lasting family business rooted in hard work, service, and community.
Today, Eugenio’s holds the special distinction of being the only original salon from that era still in business in Wellesley.
For six decades, Eugenio’s Hair Salon and the Perdoni family have been proud supporters of the Wellesley community. Over the years, they have contributed to countless local fundraising efforts, from Little League and Wellesley High School girls’ and boys’ sports teams to the school band, adult softball and football teams, towing floats during Wonderful Wellesley Weekend, and flipping pancakes for the Rotary Club. Eugenio’s has also had the honor of serving generations of wonderful families throughout the community, from grandparents to grandchildren, along with NFL and MLB coaches and managers, titans of industry, and pioneering Boston physicians.
Most of all, many in Wellesley will always remember the Tootsie Pops, the friendly faces, and the warmth of the Perdoni family, who have owned and operated Eugenio’s Hair Salon with pride, care, and dedication for 60 remarkable years.
Today, the Wellesley Celebrations Committee, a standing committee of the Select Board, Town of Wellesley, honors Eugenio, with a Special Recognition Award.
Congratulations to Eugenio’s Hair Salon on this extraordinary milestone and on six decades of service, friendship, and community spirit.
