
Craig Mack led of one of the noblest of causes: the improvement of Wellesley’s public schools. He championed our teachers and schools to provide our children with the very best education possible.
Today we give our thanks and something more. The Wellesley Celebrations Committee, a standing committee of the Select Board, Town of Wellesley honors Craig Mack with its Community Service Award.
Craig Mack has been a Wellesley resident for 13 years. He served on the Wellesley School Committee from 2022 to 2025, holding roles as both Secretary and Chair, and as the Committee’s liaison to the Permanent Building Committee. Since 2022, he has served as a Town Meeting Member and has volunteered in leadership roles at both the local and national levels for more than 20 years.
With a deep passion for educational excellence and student achievement, Craig has dedicated his 30-year professional career to higher education. He holds a Bachelor of Liberal Arts, a Master of Education, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership.
Craig and his wife, Melissa, are the proud parents of two Wellesley High School graduates, as well as a current 11th and 12th grader at WHS.
Our town has a deep belief in our public schools and their mission – to build the mind and character of every child, of every background, in every Wellesley community.
